These fittings will allow you to block off the refrigerant lines to a rear A/C unit and use only a front A/C unit. This is a common way to bypass leaking underbody lines or rear A/C unit and regain normal A/C operation from the front unit. This is also a common modification if you are converting the minivan to an RV or a special purpose vehicle.
These are extremely easy to install for any A/C technician or DIY mechanic.
